This numbers matching 1971 Opel GT underwent a complete frame-off restoration at RENNtech in 2022 – 23. This Opel GT is powered by a 1.9-liter inline-four paired to a four-speed manual transmission with a new clutch. The vehicle was repainted in Opel Racing Silver and reupholstered in black vinyl. The car shows currently 14196 miles on the odometer, of which approximately 200 miles have been added since completion of restoration. The extensive frame-off restoration spanned over 800 labor hours and features a custom fiberglass widebody conversion in installed by RENNtech. The re-freshed 1.9 liter 4 cylinder engine was custom fitted dual 2-barrel downdraft Solex Mikuni carburetors, RENNtech custom exhaust with long tube headers, and a 4-speed manual transmission with new clutch connected to a rear drive axle.
